The
Secondary High School "Francisco Romero Vargas"
is a comprehensive school located in the
southern area of Jerez de la Frontera.
It
began its teaching activity as a "Vocational Training
High School nº 2" in the year 1982/83, with
an initial guiding towards Administrative and Commercial
Vocational Training, Electronics, Electricity and Automotion.
It
was in May 1989 when the school was named "Francisco
Romero Vargas", and later in 1997 it became a
Secondary High School, developing the new curriculum:

Our school
offers the whole range of the LOGSE curriculum::
-
1º, 2º, 3º and 4º E.S.O. (Compulsory
Secondary Education)
- Offering
all the itineraries of 2º Bachillerato (A-levels),
including Industrial Technology.
- Having
two Vocational Training courses of higher level
of the professional field of Information Technology:
"Computer System Management" and "Development
of Information".
- Offering
the higher vocational training in Admnistration and
Finance.
- Having
a medium vocational training in Administrative Management.
- Offering
the higher vocational training in Telecommunications
and Information Technology Systems.
- Having
two Medium Vocational Training courses of professional
field Electricity and Electronic: Electronic Devices
and Electrotecnias Instalations.
- Basic
Vocational Training (Electrician and comunications
assistant).
The
IES Francisco Romero Vargas has one of the best telematical
facilities of the province wich provides us with
access to the different services of the Internet,
and allow us to offer an education in accordance with
new technologies.
It
is the very staff of teachers as well as the students
who have carried out all these technological innovations.
Our
school is a DIGital Centre since 2003/04 and
a TIC Centre since 2004/05.
